Thoughts From Our CTO, Ted Miller
My LinkedIn profile highlights a past R&D100 award, not just as a badge of honor but because it directly connects to our promising new MetiSense technology today. This technology adapted common sensors for innovative new uses.
Here’s how I got here.
I grew up in a poor area with great parents who scrimped to get me into the University of Detroit. It was there that I discovered my passion for physics. What a thrill when Argonne National Labs near Chicago in Illinois accepted me as a junior into an internship there!
At the same time, I served as the organist at a church back in Detroit, which meant commuting every weekend from Chicago O’Hare airport. Flying standby, I often found myself spending nights in the airport parking lot, sleeping in my MGB convertible. I can confirm that flights run all night—and that MGs are not suitable substitutes for RVs!
